Charles Stacy is an award-winning composer and music producer from New York. His pieces range from feature film and video game scores to genre-bending electronic songs to full-orchestral symphonies. Charles grew up playing classical violin, then received a Certificate of Higher Education in Composition from the Royal Academy of Music in London and a BMus in Music Theory and Composition from NYU. These days, he’s a freelance composer with the collectives Found Objects and Pulse Music.
When he’s not writing music, Charles can be found teaching at the Children’s Orchestra Society or jamming at Music Inn World Instruments. He also performs violin and keys with the bands The Fightscuffs and The Moonskippers.
As a music copyist, Charles has assisted in score prep for a wide variety of projects, most notably for the Illumination jukebox musical film Sing 2.
